LOUISE PARIS LAZUR grew up in Michigan and comes from a family of storytellers and artists.  She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University, where she met her husband, John.

Lazur currently resides in Oregon with her husband, her three children, and her goldendoodle named "River". In all the minutes between being a teacher and mother, Lazur is always writing her next book and getting ideas from watching her children.
